Insulation Application

Insulation Uses and Applications

Roof Insulation application method 1

  1. Clean and dust off the concrete surface of the roof.
  2. Apply water proofing layer (bitumen or membrane) on the roof.
  3. Place polythene layer to cover the entire roof (only necessary if bitumen waterproofing is used)
  4. Install THERMOPORE® sheets by placing them side by side.
  5. Cover with a layer of polythene.
  6. The roof is closed with mud for sloping followed by roofing tiles.

Roof Insulation application method 2

  1. Clean and dust off the concrete surface of the roof.
  2. Apply water proofing layer (bitumen or any other) on the roof.
  3. Place polythene layer to cover the entire roof (only necessary if bitumen waterproofing is used).
  4. Install THERMOPORE® sheets by placing them side by side.
  5. Place thin steel bar mesh (or crushed stone / gravel) to prepare for concrete pouring.
  6. Finish the roof with screeding.

Cavity Wall Insulation

  1. Place THERMOPORE® sheets along the inner side of main 9.5” load bearing wall.
  2. Build a thin single-brick interior wall along the insulation sheets to enclose them.

EIFS Insulation Application

  1. Prepare the exterior wall by cleaning and smoothening surface.
  2. Attach THERMOPORE® sheets on the outside of the exterior wall with mechanical fasteners and adhesive for level checking.
  3. Coat single layer of Styrobond DP® on the insulation sheets.
  4. Place fiber mesh and reinforce with another coat of Styrobond DP®.
  5. Smooth surface with sanding and applying external wall putty.
  6. Apply acrylic based primer once dry.
  7. Finish wall with any exterior acrylic based coating.

Under Floor Insulation

  1. Apply waterproofing membrane on concrete floor
  2. Place THERMOPORE® Insulation sheet on top of waterproofing layer side to side
  3. Place polythene layer to cover the entire floor
  4. Install piping system along with iron bar mesh
  5. Apply screed layer to finish the floor
